LeadOn Staffing is hiring a Commercial Roofing Labourer with a valid DZ licence for a long-standing, multi-generational contractor specializing in flat-roofing installations, emergency repair services, and custom structural sheet metal fabrication.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who is comfortable working in a roofing environment, can safely operate a manual transmission truck, and takes pride in reliable, physically active work.
The successful candidate will support roofing operations while also driving a company truck as required. Because the position involves working on roofs, candidates must have the required Working at Heights certification and WHMIS 2015 training.
What You'll Be Doing
The role combines commercial roofing labour and driving responsibilities.
Roofing & Labour Support
- Assist with commercial roofing work and related site activities.
- Work on roofs as part of assigned roofing operations.
- Support the roofing team with day-to-day labour requirements.
- Follow instructions and established workplace and safety procedures.
- Work safely and efficiently while performing hands-on tasks.
Driving Responsibilities
- Operate a company truck equipped with a manual 10-speed transmission.
- Drive in accordance with company requirements and applicable road regulations.
- Maintain a clean and responsible driving record.
- Support transportation requirements associated with roofing operations as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid DZ driver's licence.
- Ability and experience driving a manual 10-speed transmission truck.
- Clean driving record.
- Working at Heights Certificate.
- WHMIS 2015 certification.
- Comfortable performing hands-on work on a roof.
- Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
An AZ Licence Is an Asset
An AZ driver's licence is considered a bonus, but the client is specifically seeking a candidate with a DZ licence who can operate the required manual-transmission truck.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on commercial roofing position that involves working on roofs and supporting roofing operations.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a physically active roofing environment and understand that the role involves working at heights.
Safety is an important part of the position. Candidates must have the required Working at Heights and WHMIS 2015 certifications.
Compensation & Opportunity
Pay: $30/hour
