Start as a Picker Packer - Move Into Reach Forklift Operation
LeadOn Staffing is hiring a Picker Packer / Reach Forklift Operator for a busy material handling equipment warehouse in Mississauga.
This opportunity is designed for an experienced Reach Forklift Operator who is also comfortable starting in a hands-on picking and packing role.
You will initially spend approximately 2-3 weeks working in picking and packing. This training and familiarization period will allow you to learn the client's products, warehouse layout, aisles, inventory locations, operating procedures, and workflow.
Once you are familiar with the operation, you will transition into Reach Forklift operation as required.
If you have hands-on Reach Forklift experience, a valid Reach Forklift licence, RF scanner experience, and can start full-time tomorrow, we encourage you to apply.
What You'll Be Doing
Initial Phase: Picking & Packing
During the first 2-3 weeks, you will focus primarily on:
Picking products accurately according to orders.
Packing products safely and correctly for shipment.
Using RF scanners to locate, pick, and process inventory.
Learning product types, warehouse aisles, and inventory locations.
Becoming familiar with the client's warehouse procedures and SOPs.
Checking products for accuracy and visible damage.
Organizing inventory and maintaining an orderly work area.
Supporting general warehouse operations as required.
Transition to Reach Forklift Operation
After the initial familiarization period, you will transition into forklift duties, which may include:
Operating a Reach Forklift safely and efficiently.
Moving and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
Putting away and retrieving products from designated locations.
Supporting warehouse inventory movement and replenishment.
Following safe operating procedures and warehouse SOPs.
Performing equipment checks and reporting any safety concerns.
Continuing to support picking, packing, and other warehouse duties as required.
Important: Candidates should be comfortable performing both picking/packing and Reach Forklift work. The initial picking and packing period is an essential part of learning the client's operation before moving into forklift duties.
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
Previous hands-on Reach Forklift operating experience.
Valid Reach Forklift licence/certification.
Previous RF scanner experience - mandatory.
Previous warehouse experience, preferably involving picking and packing.
Ability to accurately pick, pack, and handle inventory.
Ability to learn product locations, warehouse aisles, and SOPs quickly.
Ability to work safely in a busy warehouse environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to perform hands-on warehouse work.
Ability to work full-time Monday-Friday.
Must be available to start tomorrow at approximately 10:45 AM.
